How To Enter a Future Order

People love pizza and sometimes they plan ahead. This lesson covers entering an order for a future date or time... "Where we're going we don't need roads..."

How to Ring in a Future Order and Set a Promise Time for an Order


 



1. Start by creating an order through the normal process. 

2. On the order screen, open the ellipsis at the top right corner of the screen.

3. Select Change Schedule to enter the date and time when the customer expects the order. Once the schedule has been set, you can complete the order normally.



4. The Toast system will then prompt you to set the preparation time.



For Example:  


If the current time is 4pm and the guest would like to pick up their order at 5:30 pm you would set the preparation time to 1 hour and 30 minutes.  The system would then let the kitchen know that the food is to be ready at 5:30 pm.


EDIT A PENDING FUTURE ORDER

To edit a future order that has already been placed, navigate to the main menu screen and select Pending Orders mode.




Click on the Future Checks tab, then select the check in question and click update to make the necessary changes. Be sure to click Send to save the changes when you are done.
