How can I open a second drawer?

During the transition between bartenders or cashiers it can become important to be able to open a second drawer while the first drawer is being counted down.  This allows for a quick change over so that the new bartender may begin serving guests before the first bartender has closed their drawer.

This is how you do it.

1. Swipe a manager card.  Open the Toast Main Menu and locate the Cash Drawer section.  

2. Click on "Cash Drawers"

3. Locate the drawer that needs to be opened a second time.  Select the drawer.

4. Once you are in the cash drawer management screen,  click "New Drawer"

5. The first drawer will be moved from the "Active" tab to the "Open" tab

6. The new drawer can now be locked by the new bartender or cashier.
