Understanding how employee data moves through the various HR, POS, Payroll, and Scheduling. This lesson will help you understand how employees are created and how they are maintained.
It is important that you understand how data flows between the systems involved in HR, POS, and Scheduler processes. Each system depends on another part of the system to be accurate in order to function properly. A certain amount of time is required for each piece of the system to communicate new employees and changes to existing employees. It is essential that managers and general managers plan ahead as much as possible so that they systems have time to update.
1. The applicant applies through the recruitment site.
2. Employee is Hired and paper work is completed and applicant becomes a new hire.
3. Stratex creates employee record in Toast. (This will take a minimum of 15 minutes but may take longer, please plan ahead)
4. HotSchedules creates an employee record based on the data in Toast. (This will take a minimum of 15 minutes but may take as long as 24 hours)
All employee data is maintained in Stratex.
For example: Additional Job Code Process
1. Add a new specialty to the employee record in Stratex
2. Stratex will add the job to the corresponding Toast employee record
3. HotShedules will then add the job to the HotSchedules employee record based on the updated Toast Employee record.
