How to Request Off or Request Additional Hours in HotSchedules

You can't work all the time... or can you? This lesson will help you to make request for time off or for additional hours using HotSchedules.


How to Request Off or Request Additional Hours in HotSchedules


1. Login to HotSchedules (see:  Accessing HotSchedules)


2. Click on the setting waffle in the upper left hand corner




2. Select "Home" and then "Time Off & Requests"



3. You will then see a calendar.  You may only make requests for days that appear white on the calendar.   Select the day for your request.



4.  A "Create Time Off or Request" window will open.  


5. Select the type: (Unpaid Time Off, or Request to Work)


6. Use the "All Day" to select an entire day or multiple days


7. Then select the "From Date" and "To Date" and if necessary the time.



8. Then you must provide a reason for the request.  Please be as descriptive as possible so the approver has enough information to approve your request.



9. Then click "save"


10.  You will now see your request on the calendar and your manager will be prompted to approve your request.
